What is paracord?

Paracord was originally used my soldiers as the cord that was used in parachutes by the para-troopers. It is designed for soliders and is rigorously tested to be sure it meets the quality expectations. The soliders soon  found other uses for the cord and it began to become widely available to citizens as well.

What use do I have for paracord?

Aside from a cool lanyard/ bracelet, paracord has many uses in a survival situation and can often mean the difference between life or death.
